Outlet – a variable which points to a user interface object. 
Action – a function that handles an event from the user interface.

An outlet is a reference to a user interface object. We can usually read from and write to the user interface object.

An action is a method that simply responds to events from the user interface. It enables you to write code in response to user interaction.

Your C and C++ programs had a clearly-defined entry point, the main() function. In a Swift-language iOS app, which file, or resource, or object is the app’s entry point?

The app delegate. Its class is decorated with an attribute, @UIApplicationMain.

Briefly describe the role and purpose of a controller object in an iOS app.

A controller is an object in your app that has business or application logic. In the iOS MVC pattern, a controller often manages a single scene in the user interface.
