In-class, hands-on, practical evaluation (Test 2)

For section B, the test is Thursday, April 9, at 8:30am.

For section A, the test is Monday, April 13, at 1:45pm.

This part of the test is worth 9% of your final course grade, and will be done on a computer.

You can use a College computer, or your own computer.

The duration of the test is sixty (60) minutes. If you arrive/start late, you will not get extra time.

.

What to expect

It will cover web app programming, all topics from study week until now. However, it will likely be based on recently-learned material, because (as you know) the topics build upon each other.

You will add some functionality to existing web apps.

.

Reference material

For this programming portion of the test, you can use any printed or online resource (except those that are prohibited by course policies).

.

Some advice about the programming portion of the test…

You will not be able to build a solution “Frankenstein style” from code snippets that you assemble from various sources. Therefore, make sure that you know how to write solutions for the course topics. In other words, you must know what you’re doing. You can’t fake it, or fool your professor.

You must package and upload your work BEFORE the timeslot ends. The upload link will disappear. No upload, no marks.

If you run into trouble, please be aware that part marks will be earned for the parts of your solution that work.

.

Reminder about Course policies

This is a reminder: Review the Course policies document. In particular, make sure you read and understand the information about “Tests and Other Graded Work”.
