BTI420 programming assignment

This document introduces the BTI420 programming assignment for the Winter 2014 semester.

.

Project idea and scope

We need an app that helps a student monitor graded work due dates in their courses.

At the beginning of a semester, a professor will enter a list of graded work due dates, for the course(s) they are teaching. From a student’s perspective, they will be able to view a list of graded work for all of their courses.

A related benefit will be to inform professors about graded work that’s happening in other courses. In addition, the app can provide professors and coordinators with information to help solve scheduling problems.

.

Due date, and deliverables

Your work must be complete by Wednesday, April 9, 2014, at 9:00am ET.

During the month of March, you must also submit your work-in-progress, which will be graded. The format and expectations of these work-in-progress versions will be announced soon. A late submission will not be accepted.

During the last week of classes, you will demonstrate your completed web app to your professor. The demonstration will be brief (about ten minutes), and a sign-up page will be made available. Your professor will use some of the information from the demonstration to grade your work. If you miss the demonstration, you will lose up to 6 marks.
